Emma is a classical pianist whose studies began at the age of 4. 17 years later she has an eclectic repertoire embracing maintream classics, modern compositions and experimental music.

Her principle instrument is Piano, with limited ablilities on Viola and the Bassoon.

She has spent much of her life travelling, with significant periods in Paris, Germany and Australia, where she spent a few years concentrating on Jazz and Blues works, but aside from classical music her major studies have been in atonal works and the serialist movement. Currently Emma lives in central London.

Her musical influences are varied, ranging from Schumann, Liszt, Chopin, Beethoven, Rachmaninoff, Scarlatti and Prokofiev to Messiaen, Shostakovich, Schoenberg and Gershwin.

Although without any major works to her name, Emma's few short compositions are mostly solo piano pieces - many in the Serialist style (following a 12 tone row), lyrical songs for voice and piano and some experimental works.

In September 2008 Emma will begin at the Ecole Normale de Musique a Paris.
