You know, that's the second comment I've gotten about the song sounding like Castlevania, and I've never even heard the soundtrack from the game--perhaps I should.

I used Guitar Pro 5 with RSE for this, and it has "realistic sounds" for the guitars, bass, and drums, hence their sounding better than the strings.

I haven't really listened to much Nightwish, but I am right now (I had some on my HD), and it ain't bad. This song was more influenced by a guy named Terry Syrek (I doubt you've heard of him, but he kicks major ass) than anything else I'd been listening to at the time. You should look him up. He's better than me.
