MP3s and other recordings are fine, so long as you include a score as well. Include a MIDI on top of that if you like.

I'd imagine the judges would appreciate nice-looking scores.

Possibly, although by that stage it may be too late for you to start anything. If anyone does drop out, we'll consider it.
