Well, not everyone can appreciate all music, I guess.
To be perfectly frank, I didn't really get into Sibelius until I'd been making music for nearly 40 years. And only at the urging of an ex-professor of mine who happens to be a Sibelius freak (and a rabid avant-garde composer... go figure)

In musical criticism, when issues of craft and technical consideration are set aside, what remains is more subjective. However, until technical issues are dealt with, the subjective portion bears considerably less weight.
