We already have an "About" page in the wiki:

The reason the Wikipedia article was deleted all those months ago is because information pertaining to YC
as a site (i.e. not about music or composition) is not of general interest to the public. We're not (yet?) notable enough to merit inclusion on Wikipedia.
As for what would merit our inclusion, they might look for something like external references to the site, just to demonstrate it is in fact a talking point.
Until we properly fulfil the criteria, time spent writing a Wikipedia article on YC is very likely to prove a waste, no matter how well-meaning the intent is.
