AH you told me....well thank you anyway Mr. QcCowboy, and I never said that he sounded best Mahlerian Sir, and I understand what you mean by the comment ".....inability to find a harmonic link between the two" or something along those lines....and yes when I was referring to his influence I was talking of the symphonic form because that is what the article mentioned...not necessarily the sound of the music however..
