I've now added a "templink" function which allows you to quickly reference and find individual shouts. It works exactly as permalinks do on posts (they're available above and to the right of each), except links to shouts aren't permanent since they're cleared out after 3 days, hence
templink.
Again, this feature is accessible from within the archive view. Look for the temp link next to the time stamp.
