I just noticed your upload another one recently, Information Channel. This is a fun, quirky little piece. This isn't my style either but I actually rather enjoy this one. The beeps and boops gives a kinda retro-ish feel. Overall, nice work on both. Hope the project is going well.

Guitars are just instruments and as soon as we learn how to write for them, we usually break the rules to try to create whatever sound we are going for. So, you can't expect to know a piece just because it has an instrument you are very familar with, although you will probably be able to mimic it.
The idea behind these pieces is to make "background music" or ambient music (although saying ambient music is background music is stereotyping it) that is interesting, but subtle and has a more modernish feel. The game is designed around stradegy of guilds or militarys/clans/nations/organization (not sure how to define it).
So, the music needs to be defined by that more then anything else.
