I've been to:
Trinity, Guildhall, Royal Academy, Birmingham conservatory, Royal Academy of Music of Scotland, and only Royal Academy asked for piano playing. Composition BMus, right? Trinity had some basic music exams, Birmingham and Scottish accepted me with no exams (I didn't show up). I didn't go to Guildhall either so no idea about that! Royal Academy didn't accept me!

At the SAME year I decided that I was too good (sic) for a "mere" BMus and tried for MMus. Manchester said yes with no interview. Royal Holloway said yes with an interview. Kings College said no after an interview. And Brimginham university asked for a Bachelors (which I didn't and still don't have. A bizzare situations where I'm finishing my PhD with no Bachelors... heh...). Nobody in masters asked me to play the piano. In fact all interviews were done by phone!
