It happens from time to time, especially if you have it open for a long time (during which a single random issue will cause everything to stop working on your end), and can be quite easily overcome by refreshing the page.
Use of the [youtube] tag in the shoutbox is restricted, with any instance being reduced to a simple link. This occurs before the shoutbox gets a chance to parse BB code, so ultimately you end up with a "non-parsed" plaintext link.
