Has anybody else noticed a recent slowdown in thread loads due to the ads? I'm thinking it's just me and my connection being weak lately... I've had trouble being kicked off of my instant messenger clients for the past two days and getting timeouts loading ordinary pages, but lately I've been browsing threads and the first bit of the page well load until the first add, then my status bar will say "Loading from assoc.amazon.com" or something like that and the rest of the page won't load for 5-20 seconds when the amazon ads finally show up. Like I said, I think this is just a probably on my system, but I was wondering if anyone else has noticed this. Anyone?
