A teacher is a must to learn good piano techniques. Try attending at least 10 classes, I am not fan of keyboard and surely cannot advise you on that. Try buying a digital piano, a used one should be relatively cheap. Then again it depends what kind of music you are interested in. If you are in to classical then a digital piano or if possible an upright one may be good option. Well that is my 2c
