I do know where you're coming from, so no worries! And I also love Rachmaninov (and his 2nd Symphnoy as well! )

Yes, some scarey moments, certainly this would work better with a live orchestra (miles better in fact, since I did this in a studio, not my own home, and with various samples, collections of samples back in 2004. Back then I doubt there was anything staggering in terms of samples, at least except GOS, which is used actually. The rest are various solo stuff, various percussion, etc. All singled out! I ended up with A LOT of audio files to work with.)

No microtonality, no. Not in this piece at least.
