If that is a sitar I hear, I love it muchly! If I'm hearing bassoon in here as well, it is a very nice match. That goes for horn use as well. At one point near the beginning I was hearing some flute-like instruments and it briefly put me in an east-Asian feel. Loved the section about halfway starting with a horn fanfare in some funky intervals. It happened again a little later as well.
I'm just coming over here after listening to the other piece you were going to call "Zero and other Large Numbers", and I think I sense a bit of tragedy in this one too. Very interesting and different stuff from what I'm used to hearing from you. Very effective use of exotic harmony!
