I sometimes hear some Berlioz influence, the puritan classical instrumentation is well thought out.
Later on, during a lyrical, beautiful symphonic passage, an oboe enters, with a divine solo melody! This is my favorite!
A perfect ouverture for a shorter romantic opera.
