There is a tonal center, sure, which means it isn't atonal, sure, but more continuously modulating modes, I guess. There is a term for something that isn't typically tonal and not atonal, but I have been away from this stuff for too long to remember what it's called. (I will have to get back to you on that part.)

Anyway, with the right performer with the right artistic license, this piece could be really freakin' cool on a recital somewhere. Of course I understand that there is only so much a MIDI file can do, so it would be really great to hear a polished performer do something with it.

Regarding the style, it is very much like the coined phrase "machine music" (not to be confused with Reed's "Metal Machine Music" if you try to Google it). I can't find anything online discussing what I am talking about so I will shut up now.
