Conqueso stole my harmonization!

- so I had to come up with somthing different.

This was a daunting melody to work with. It starts out rather conventional, has a nice implied harmonic shift, ..but then goes into a world of weirdness, complete with awkward chromatic appogiaturas, which I sort of allude to in the psuedo-ostinato at the beginning and end. That it uses conventionally derived rythyms at least keeps it in the realm of melody. I almost gave up on this one, and after listening to Conqueso's, my suspicions were confirmed. I suspect even Conqueso had some problems with it. His offering has a few moments that don't quite work to my ears. So I don't feel bad that mine also has some holes.

Here's my attempt. Part treatment, part harmonization. ..for string quartet. As you can see, it's a second try. I should probably go back to the first one and post it just for laughs, but I'd have to finish it and I'm too lazy.
