well, to be perfectly fair, you cannot compare Notepad with the full version of Finale.

Notepad does not allow MIDI keyboard entry, for example. It also has an extremely limited set of features.

In musical criticism, when issues of craft and technical consideration are set aside, what remains is more subjective. However, until technical issues are dealt with, the subjective portion bears considerably less weight.
