Thank you. I can say too that even though I disagree with people I still find my heart reaching toward them in love and feel tenderly toward them and hope their best, above all that they would know God and enjoy His presence. That I know comes from God.
You said its hard for you to quiet yourself. I too struggle there very much. Often I feel like an untamed animal and I have to force myself to sit still, and this more relaxing music I write I believe is God whispering His desire for me to slow down and spend time with Him in intimacy. To focus on what matters most and just be still and relax in His Presence.
I started writing in this style after a night of tears. I was wondering, "Does God desire I write music?" I was playing Bach's Prelude from English Suite no.3 (boy was I butchering it) and clearly I heard these words to my heart, "What do you want?" That question pierced my being and I could only cry (there is so much to be said about that one question), but in that time of tears I also heard Christ say clearly (as that same english suite played so beautifully within) that He doesn't want me to give up on music, He just desires to write music with me intmately, "That they may be One in Us". That night I started my first work in this style. If we will just slow down and abide in Him the river of mercy and living waters will flow through us and be a blessing to others. His desire in this is not for me alone, but for all men, "Abide in Me, and I in You".
