hello schroter,

despite my lack of interest in your other work. this one was surprisingly great. this one had a lot more music flow in it. and it does have a bit of smooth jazz in it. great work. though one thing i think could've improved the music was to change some rhythm. there are 8th notes everywhere. you should have some sort of rests somewhere. after all this is jazz.

Not bad.

The melodies are fairly derivative and nothing leaps off the page as being terribly creative. Will work well, as you intend for background film music...

I did like number XI, but think they all could benefit from a more jazz treatment; i.e. melody with chord-symbols. In the hands of a capable jazz pianist, I think some of these could sound fantastic. I understand these are intended to be a fusion of jazz and classical, but when so many composers genre-straddle flawlessley, these come off as sounding like a classical writier, writing jazz-ish stuff for a classical pianist. Fine and dandy if that's your bag...but it is possible to write jazz-like sounding stuff for non-jazz musicians...

And yeah, so many 8th notes...I get bored REAL quick. I need people to fascinate and entertain me.
