All that can be refuted in one simple statement. It is an overture meaning to cover many different works within the set. It has to cover the different styles. Also, i'm not all for making traditionalist happy. In fact, I become happier every time someone like you finds no reference points.
It is probably a good thing I wasn't trying to raise en eyebrow back that. I would fail miserably but someone it works in its own way.
