I hope you're being ironic! This music really hits me (in a positive sense)...
It has the same atmospher as good Bachmusic. To me it feels a bit like the beginning of a cantata, I am expecting a choir after this 'intro' or something.
But it's really the beginning of something good, go on with this!
(Maybe you should modulate back to E now, for the sake of keeping it coherent?)
