Thanks for the comments about my melody! I look forward to posting the finished movement which I think will be my proudest composition to date. Exams around the corner so don't know whether I should pump it out and have it over and done with, or leave it bugging me for the next three weeks....you'll find out in the next few horus if I decide to post anything
I love your versions as well Frantz! I find your style very unorthodox but it has such a charm to it. Like Mark said, its very unlike how I or he would imagine it, but it has this wonderful atmosphere, both with the instruments chosen and the endless overlapping and reintroduction of certain phrases into the harmonies. It almost has a canonical feel to it. I like how the contrapuntal melodies seem to fall over each other and then resolve at certain points. You lose a sense of time and place listening to your music. It is like stepping into 'Frantz Land' I hope that comes off more as a compliment than a facetious comment lol. Thanks for posting so quickly!
Hey Mark, I use noteworthy composer, so If you like I can copy paste the melody for you onto the website - but since I have still not started using Finale or Sibelius, the only score I can post is the same version of score you would see if you opened a midi using Finale or Sibelius. If you have noteworthy composer message back, It'll save you lots of time transcribing!
Thanks again guys - speak to you soon. All the best,
Regards
Pravin
P.S
Frantz I was checking out your website and saw the little section you had about the 'Upstart Suite'! I'm totally flattered! I'm not sure how many people come to visit your website or whether it is just personal storage but your words were very touching so thank you! Lol, we have formed quite a composer's bond, you and I Speak to you later
