Miles Davis is my hero, he pushed Jazz to the limit and took part in the invention of SO many sub genres, like Cool Jazz, Modal Jazz and even Jazz Fusion. He's a must listen for anyone who's interested in Jazz or even Atonal/Avant Garde music. The best soloist to ever pick up a trumpet, check this out, this is the best video I ever found of his signature Modal Jazz number "All Blues".
