Miles was certainly a true innovator - never standing still. By the time the rest of the musical community caught on to what he was doing, he'd moved on. Pioneered pretty much every advance in jazz from the late-50s onward.
That record (Kind of Blue) is certainly a highlight - stellar lineup; Trane being the perfect foil for the subdued Miles...
