Hello

This tune I just composed today, though I've been working on it for a while. It's based on the first three notes of O Canada. I wrote it for string quartet. It's about two minutes long, because I didn't feel like it needed to be dragged on forever. It's very succinct. I wrote this in a depressed mood, so bear with me. I like it.

Here's a Sibelius 2 file. Since most of you guys use Finale, tough love

Since I didn't really work too hard on this, I don't even know why I'm posting this. Maybe it's my ego. I don't know...

I'm going to make it better

Ah. Nice.

Except my computer made it sounds like French Horn, Saxophone, Something and a COmputer noise. So It didn't sound right.

But it does sound pretty good with what I heard, I don't know. Maybe if I actually heard a string qurtet.

Here's a better link:

I've significantly expanded on the piece.

I'm too lazy to add a sibelius file. Sorry.

But then again, you'll probably be too lazy to give a review. That's ok. I'm not really expecting any deep reviews. It's not much, this piece.

Hey, Monkey, why don't you print it as a PDF so everyone can see the score? I'd rather make a critique with a score in front of me.

Lol ok hear it is just a sec. And here is a FAR better Mp3 too...

By the way, I've attempted serious art music in this one

Here's the mp3...

And secondly, because I bloody hell don't know how to make a pdf file, all I can do is create a scorch file:

I'm sorry, this is the best I can do.

Interesting... I've added the scorch website, yet there is nowhere on the bottom that says add it to post... oh well

Ok, I liked the first 20 seconds, but the rest was the most dissonant piece of crap I've ever heard.

Monkey -
  • go to www.download.com
  • Search for: PDF Printer
  • Download one.
  • Open your score in Sibelius
  • Select Print
  • Set your printer as whatever the PDF printer program is called (it will be recognized as an internal printer on your computer)
  • Print it as a PDF file
  • Post it HERE!!!

Pianobeast, wherever I try to download the file, it's as a zip file. And I just ran out of the evaluation version, which means I have to pay for it. Thanks for all of the advice, but I can't do anything.

Here's another scortch file. It only takes a second to download the viewer.

Oh, and Jeremiah, not to sound cocky or anything, but it is supposed to be dissonant. I was really depressed when I wrote this. Don't want to get into that though. But considering you don't like music with dissonance, as your earlier posts have said, I'll just take your boorish comment with a grain of salt.
