Articles tab link to somewhere more useful?

I think the Articles tab should lead not the YC Music Articles but to something like the Sitemap. This would it easier for the browser who's not so clued up on how wiki works to see all of the information we have. I'm not proposing we link it to that sitemap, we could perhaps make a new page entitled Articles (it currently redirects to YC Music Articles) with links to the category pages for composers, yc music articles, instruments, form - all the major categories, with a brief description of the type of pages that come under that category.

Thoughts?

THANK YOU.

I've suggested this numerous times, even to you, and it has yet to be done. When clicking the Articles tab, it should take the user to a general Wiki page, sort of a Wiki homepage, with maybe a paragraph on what the Wiki is about, nothing too extensive, with links to further information, like Guidlines, and How-To's, and it should have each of the major categories included by link, and brief synopsis of content, like you said, Mark.

I would even consider renaming the Article tab to "Wiki" instead, but that's a touchy subject that I'm going to go no further into other than simply suggesting.

I lost the game.

I think the issue here is that the wiki is being marketed as "Articles" because visitors are more likely to be familiar with that term.

I'd agree that authoring a new page (or expanding the Sitemap article) would be the way to go. Then we can go ahead and change the tab link.

I created a sandbox page for the sitemap, and I tried to make it more informational. It doesn't look so nice, so feel free to clean it up and make it sparkle.
