Exclamation Artsfest - "Outro"

Hey everyone,

I was going through my music folder and I came across a cute little track I wrote recently for a production that my school puts on every year. It's really nothing more than a glorified talent show - we basically invite interested people from the school to come out and display their artistic or similar talents. The catch is that we, as a drama troupe, have to then tie in all the various acts with a theme and a vague storyline.

I wrote the script and we managed well with a theme of "The Time Machine", but what I actually want to show you is a piece of music I wrote to close off the whole show. In the show, I played (yes, I act) a fairly typical mad scientist of the distracted and loopy variety, and I had invented the time machine in the story.

This piece, therefore, was written to sort of summarize the wacky nature of the story with catchy rhythms and melodic material and an orchestration scheme that was intended to be somewhere between Marius and Danny Elfman.

Anyhow, it's fairly short, so take a listen and enjoy!

I have to say, this is short and sweet. To me, it fits the theme for an outro, as a conclusion to the entire play, summing up the mad professor (the quirky melody especially). The theme in the piece is pretty catchy, so I said good job on that. Another thing, I felt that I could see the professor, jumping about like a madman upon listening the piece. Good job!

Hey,

This is pretty quirky. I like the orchestration and I loved the woodwind in this piece.

I think it fits a mad scientist and his time machine well. However, this sounds more like an intro than an outro to me. Feels as though your being introduced to this mad scientist and maybe his crazy ideas.

Other than that, there isn't much to be said. This is a catchy and quirky piece.

Well done.
