I only heard about Pärt a short while ago, and am writing about him and other composers (Peter Maxwell Davies, Maurice Duruflé) who have implemented ideas or pre-existing melodies of Gregorian chant into their music. It's really interesting.

Wow, that sounds like a challenging paper...those three are tough to compare stylistically. I'd love to see what you come up with!

It's easy to write when they all write in completely different styles. All you have to do is point out what's different. There you go, 3,500 words.

he has one complex piece 'tabula rasa' others 'cantus ..' 'festiva lente' are imho ambient music. this is what classical.net has to say.
