Away in a Manger

I wrote this in the summer of 2004, and only just rediscovered the recording, which is, lets face it, naff.

The harmonisation of the vocal parts still needs quite a bit of work, but it's pretty much there. I'm doing my best to fix it up along with a load of other pieces so I can organise the choir I co-run to do a concert at Christmas to try and get some cash into their coffers in order to reduce the costs to members of rehearsals.

In the recording, I bodged the piano part, and the college choir squealed the vocal lines. The MIDI I've attached is a slightly different arrangement to that which was performed a year and a half ago. I miss this lot; they were funny.

nice piece! can't say it is highly original but is nicely done, and has a definite appeal and a lovely lightheartedness to the melody and mood. congrats!
