Bach cello suites

Hi.

I'm sure most of you are familier with one or two of these but after trawling the net i finally found free scores to all six suites, it's a bit difficult to read but it's all there.

My personal favourite is Bourree I and II from suite number 3, what about you?

The Six Bach Suites for Solo Cello (Manuscript)

Enjoy, Mark

awesome, bassoons are cool, but they seem impracticaly large. I'm thinking of taking up clarinet, does anyone know if it's an easy instrument to learn? I can play up to about grade three descant recorder and had a go on a flute in a music shop but felt light headed after fumbling through a C major scale! And wha is tha range ofa clarinet?

Thanks, Mark

I love most anything for all of them. Of course, Suites One and Three stand out, but there are some good aspects in the other four as well.

I love that prelude, but it always pains me when I hear a high school cellist just sawing away at it. Oh well.

Oh- I love Casals' performances of these.

Try Ma's performance of it, pretty divine in my opinion

Right now I'm learning the Sarabande from suite 2 on the trombone. If anyone wants trombone-oriented versions of the suites, go to Doug Yeo's website. At a recent concert, a friend of mine played the Prelude from suite 1 on guitar.
