Barbaric Scherzo in C minor

Just something I happened to play for 20 minutes, and then proceeded to write down in finale.

Usually my scherzi are much longer, but I didn't really find a way of developing this further without losing the piano bashing touch.

So, there you go: mp3

Nice! I would double the note values so that it's in 3/8 or 6/8. I'll be easier to read that way. Some of the pedal markings are confusing. Several notational quirks, but I think this is Finale's problem. Great job! When does the orchestra version come out?

Well, what can I say? It was a very adventurous, short little piece, and I liked it actually. To be quite honest I enjoyed this over any of the other pieces I have heard of yours. You do however seem to expiriment with the rhythm and time signatures of your pieces more than anything else. This is fine with me, and the main reason why I was so interested. Good job Berlioz, and post more works.

lol.
That was a very fun listen! Good job.

I feel it was just about the right length.
lol, if i were a decent pianist, I would play it... but...

i think 6/16 is fine, once you get the feel for the piece. there is nothing to complex (counting wise) that might trip you up with it.

Again, Good job.

Hehe, thanks. Really? You? The oh-so-romantic person? I thought you'd prefer things like my 3rd song...

Yeah, I like romantic music alot, but I also like music that seems to experiment with things, this piece was awesome because I liked the variance in the rhythm and time signatures. So yeah..., and what do you mean your "3rd song?"

I mean exactly that, my 3rd song: Song #3, in C minor: "I don't know if it is raining outside"

Bravo...

Wonderfully powerful, "barbaric" indeed. Not a note more needed, I think, but if you have more energy to take out of yourself...

I dunno. I think ad infinitum is a bit better. Still enjoyable, though.
