Hi there,
Having read the sibelius 4 help directory on beam groups, I still find I cannot separate a bar of quavers into irregulr patterns when I want to. Especially in a bar that I rewrote as 6/4 in a 44/ piece. Does anyone have expereicen of this and can you help solve it?

ALso, how can I get quintuplets in 4/4 or quadruplets in 3/4? I have tried what sibelius suggests and this too, does not work.

Help!

Thanks,

RSJ

Hi RSJ,

For the beam groups - go to your 3rd option on the keypad (which has the beam symbol) here you can adjust the groupings. For the quintuplets or any other irregularity, click in the note value you need the quintuplet for and click the note and then Ctrl+(the number you need).

Ps: You can only do a dotted quaver quintuplet in a 3/4 bar - basic maths.

Hope that helped.
