Dammit, I need to get hold of recordings of all of these, and the music for them all aswell. Anyone got any links to either of the above that're in the public domain?

I know this is kind of off topic, since we are all talking about symphonies here, but does anyone know which recording of Missa Solemnis is by far the best? Berstein perhaps?

Wow way to bring up a dead thread. But, since I am a Beethoven Addict, I shall bring new life by saying that Karajan's recordings are NOT horrible. Though, the London Classical Players' recording is the best that I have heard. Each movement is very clear and they use period instruments and actual tempo markings. However, I do prefer the 4th mov of symph 5 a little faster than what they take it as. The strings have a deep, rich sound and the brass have a penetrating, yet majestic sound. The winds are full, but the flute is a little bit bright. You should definitely get this set.!
