Best Audio/Midi interface under 1K

I am planiing to buy a audio/MiDI interface with Fireware...I would like to spend less than 1K, does anybody know which is the best? I heard that Tascam 1082 or 1884 is good...please advice.

1k what? 1k here might be different to your 1k.

I have the M-audio 410 (four in ten out plus MIDI)- which is excellent. They also do a 1010 (ten in ten out plus MIDI.

I think the 410 is about £350 and the 1010 about £450. Might be wrong on that...

It's an 1814 - not a 1010. M-Audio do a Delta 1010, which is a PCI card. So far as PCI cards go, I have an M-Audio Delta 66 (six in/out) and an M-Audio Audiophile (4 in 4 out + MIDI).
