For the best sequencer (for Windows) I would get Sonar Producer Edition version 7. (computermusic mag gave it 10/10). I only have the Home Studio edition though - being on a budget.

If I was going to buy the best sample library, probably Vienna Symphonic Cube or EWQL Platinum. But again, on a budget I am more likely to get EWQL Silver or GPO.

Oh go read the site.

Platinum is 24-bit, Gold is 16-bit
Platinum has 3 mics, Gold 1 mic
Platinum is 96 Khz, Gold is 44.1 KHz

Platinum is more expensive, so if it wasn't for money... you know...

There is also VSL, to which the full package at one point was $12,000! Try that for best, or a combination of all, plus a DAW powerfull enough to hold the thing

Pianos EWQL Pianos (260 GB!!!!!)

Choirs, the choirs...

etc...

thanks for help.

Once again: VISIT THE EASTWEST SITE! Pianos are huge because they are 4 pianos and 3 mics in each piano. Repetition notes, pedal, half pedal, una corda pedal, long notes, and all in 3 mics (x3 the size that is). Each piano ranges from 60 GB ro 80 GB. Considering that Garritan Steinway full is about 40 GB with 1 mic, it makes... absolute sense... :S

And EW is not the absolute best! Many people have it (including me), but there is also VSL and Kirk Hunter and Westgate and WIVI and Sonivox... And Project Sam, and... lots of stuff.

You mention that money is NOT an issue: Buy everything then!

And NO if money is not an issue doesn't mean I'm gonna buy everything,,
I don't want to talk about money cause then Everyone will offer "cheap" softwares. ;P

You simply don't want to listen, do you?

Platinum bundle is $1125
Gold is around $600
Choirs are around $500

do the math!

If you don't need the choirs, then Gold + project Sam, or WIVI will give you extra sounds to your pallete.

Soundsonline.com is having a buy one get one free offer right now! If you get Platinum you CAN get something else of equal or lesser value for free!

Not saying is not good, it's excellent, I use it myself (EW products in general), but saying that when you are willing to spend above $1000, not listening to someone who takes the time to try and explain and share some of his experience can be a bad tactic! Not that you should go about what I say, but at least take notice, instead of NOT caring about what I say.

And do wait for others to chime in. Offers won't go away in a day!

And be more specific to what you want and what computer you have: Platinum bundle is a total of 138 GB! Do you have a hard disk to fit that? The CPU to handle that? The RAM to load that? The sequencer to use that? The monitors or at least great headphones to hear the difference between 16-bit and 24-bit (Gold - Platinum). etc. Buying one thing won't make you better, if you can't use it, or don't know how to use it.

For the record I still use Gold bundle. I don't do 5:1 yet, and I don't do DVDs yet, so the 24-bit is not crucial. I have a great reverb and mix other things as well, which opens the mind and sound very much!

I'm listening!

i guess buying gold and choirs wouldn't be too bad,
but the Platinum bundle should be worth $1125 ,no?

the get one get 1 free is a good thing, but i will probably fail.

ahem,
my laptop,,,has about 8 GB free space
but i believe i can get the ,,,thing that has 1000 GB , it's quite cheap,

if that won't work, will need a new laptop, but that stuff is no worries,
All i need to know is what to get.

I have checked your site before, and must say very nice music, the "Exeliksis"
Done in Gold bundle?
