hmmmmm.... interesting!! had trouble picking out the brass and strings though. Not the kind of thing I usually listen to but it does sound original for electronica. I liked the distorted bass bit that came in towards the end... maybe you could use that instrument a bit earlier and more often in this song? If I was mixing this piece I would probably lower the volume of the drums a bit and raise the level of the atmospheric stuff (drone thingies or whatever they are called as well as the other ambient stuff).

it's not the kind of thing i listen to as well, though making this piece i had to go through much of listening. actually through so much, that it really scares me to go on and do something else with it! but, of course, i'll have your suggestions in mind, and when it's (working around it) far away in the past, i'll come back and and could end up reworking it, or, well, deleting.
thanks for a response

This is interesting.

I felt the drums were trying a little too hard to please - consider letting them be slightly less "busy". You could also try experimenting with EQ in this regard, perhaps reducing some of the higher end frequencies so they slip into the background.

I also agree with finrod in that I think you could have brought the ambient type stuff out a bit more. Again, EQ could be an interesting way to stifle the noisier elements which dominate.

well, i do see what you say, and i agree to the point - i'm still thinking of making a last move take it all. and you say - drums trying to hard to take over it, yes, but not as if it was by chance, no, i just wanted to make drums hot, counterpointing what you call ambient, it just i still can.t find a way to make them go to a real love/break minutes they should, it's like i'm trying to do more than it should or could go through..and, as you reply to it, i'm definetly going into some really hard stuff working it out, or, if it doesn't come, just deleting.. no matter how much it took from me to challenge..
of course, i believe, few would find this as a work of a real challenge..yet, to me it's a battle...
and, by way of posting here, i get where i was wrong, even though i could feel it from the start.

.. and, pardon me for being too persistent, drums were not meant to make anybody pleased, they were more of a 'going a step ahead', sort of getting one too bored by things moving fast, and then - come the string/brass bass, overtaking the fastness, stilling but keeping it intense...yeah, but i faked at the end, couldn't find the move..and it's no good to force it.. so, have to wait until it comes...yes, you did help me to see the 'fake' side of it, and yes i will come true with the right decisions...or, i'm fake...
it's a bet...
