Can anybody recommend me a good sequencer to go with EWQLSO Gold Edition?

Hi,

I recently purchased Symphonic Orchestra: Gold Edition from EastWest. I remember some of the sequencers/notation software that were recommended to work with this software (Sonar, Sybilius, etc.) but they are all way too expensive. I was hoping that someone could recommend me a cheap sequencer that can do the following:

Import MIDI files I have created
Load the EWQLSO instruments to the loaded MIDI data
Export to wav/mp3

I currently own a notation program called PrintMusic that can export my music to MIDI. I really do not think the sequencer I need has to be expensive. Even if you are not sure the program you were going to recommend is appropriate for me, post it anyway. All help is deeply appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

If thats all your after, go get Reaper. VSTi compatible and its free. Can't remember the website but its nothing a quick google search wont fix for ya

Also has basic effects, automation, MIDI/Audio editing. For what you want it's more than enough.

I may be mistaken but the demo of REAPER I have says that it is not free and I will have to buy it 30 days. I do not know if it is am appropriate question or whether or not you know, but how do you import instruments into REAPER? I have imported my MIDI and have showed it the area to find the VST but I can't seem to figure out how to get it to load the EWQLSO instruments.

Any help on this and the original question is still much appreciated.

1) You dont have to buy REAPER, it'll just encourage you to on start up after 30 day trial.

2) Err....It's been a while since I used this, but on the MIDI track click "FX" and look under VST or VSTi for EWQL. If EWQL isn't in there then you'll need to go grab the EWQLSO .dll file (which is your plugin file) and go put it in the VST folder under C/Program Files/REAPER or something along those lines.

I'm in the same boat, more-or-less

I've just bought a high spec PC, I've set my sights on EWQLSO GOLD Pro XP, and now I'm just looking for a half decent sequencer. I only want to use the midi capabilities so that I can compose my own classical music, so no need for a high tech sequencer I'm guessing. Would go up to the £100 mark so was thinking about one of the Steinberg lower end products.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated because I'm fairly new to this.
