can anybody write music for these lyrics?

“Faint Hearted”

V1. I bind my heart tightly
I wrap it up strong
I present myself tough
Only I know what’s wrong
You were curious about
My parcel fragile
You were tentative
Then holding it made you smile

CH: For feeling the warmth
And it’s faint steady thump
You guessed the contents
But you did not run
Feeling the warmth
And it’s faint steady thump
You guessed the contents
But you did not run.

V2. Since then you have tugged
At my tightly bound string
I so carefully tied
In protection of me
Teased open the layers
Unravelled it all
It lay open before you
And you were appalled

CH: you felt the warmth
And it’s faint steady pace
You knew the contents
And fled like a race
You felt the warmth
And it’s faint steady pace
You knew the contents
And fled like a race

V3. You drew back in horror
At the unhealed mass
How I got the scars
You did not ask
They were fiercely won
During a terrible time
Faint hearted won’t inherit
So I began to bind.

CH: You had felt the warmth
And it’s faint steady pace
You knew the contents
But fled like a race
You had felt the warmth
And it’s faint steady pace
You knew the contents
But fled like a race.

It's about a heart - it's not even close to being penis metaphors.
.....from what I gather.

I, like Anders, have learnt to see penis metaphors in everything
I would like try this, but I doubt I could come up with anything decent, as my style (steal a short motif, and develop it behind recognition) would not really be suited to the lyrics, plus I'm only used to working with latin in choral music at the moment

Why do you need someone to write music to the lyrics? Why dont you do it? What do I get when I'm finished? I'm printing off a copy of this right now to take down to my piano. I've been looking for some new lyrics for a while with no luck. This'll do. I might get bored, or run out of ideas, or not come up with anything decent in the first place but I'll let you know what happens.

Well I've only got the first 2 lines done on my version, but its turning out rather nicely. Its not at all like what you've got. Its actually a Capella SATB with a LOT of clustering and suspensions....somewhat whitacre style. And the tempo is a lot slower too. I'll speed it up further in (so that it doesnt clock in at like 45 minutes when its done....10 minutes TOPS this type of choral piece).

Heres what I've got for the first 2 lines. Let me know what you think.

This is my first attempt at writing a melody for lyrics. I just wrote a simple melody line for it. I'm not a good enough composer to write a whole orchestration for it.

thank you to all those who are having a go at composing music to my lyrics, it has been very interesting to see such a variety of results. One of you asked, what do you get out of this? Well if the song ever gets played publically or aired on radio, you get half the royalties.
