I think October 18th is a fine date, if not the 11th. I was under the impression that the choral piece, while with no particularily specific guidelines, would only need to be a 3-8 minute piece, i.e. one movement, so as not to take up much of one person's time.

And btw, is it a requirement that a person provide a MIDI? Because if it isn't, that would be VERY nice for some of us less fortunate people that have Dial-Up...

I can supply midi files for those who submit Finale files. - But a midi file alone does not supply enough information to assess choral writing. - maybe in tandem with a pdf...

yes, that's what I meant. At LEAST a MIDI for the music, and optionally an mp3/wav/ogg etc. AND a pdf score.
