And the PM is off. Better late than never. I wouldn't expect the judging soon though. It's Christmas, and people are busy.

Lol...You can say that again. I was a judge. It was quite an easy competition to judge. lol 15 people signed up and only 2 submitted.

I should probably start judging, assuming no more submissions are allowed.

Chad, I can see how this would reflect christmas but to tell the truth I don't think it does reflect christmas. Also your piece was very repetitive. It was loud and seemed to lack much of a structure. It gave me a headache. I do like what you were trying to do but I suggest you work on building upon your ideas. F

rantz it is so hard to judge a choral without the lyrics. I really doubt the voices will only sing "lalala" the whole time. I found the song to be a bit cliche and sometimes bogged down with to much motion. There wasn't really anything that stuck out but good effort.

I didn't expect to like your piece piano player. I think out of everyone you made the best christmas carol. It wasn't loud, annoying or boring. It was a loveable quick short piece. Just goes to show how something simple can beat things complex.

I think (along with your critiquing) that you are suppose to give a number grade based on a scale of 1-10...ten being the best. At least, that's what I had to do when I judged the solo piano competition. That way all of the judges scores could be combined into selecting the winner.

JUDGING

After listening to Piano Player's piece, I do not think I will need to rescore the two previous entries.

My apologies once again for jumping the gun.

Piano Player: Your flute solo is quite entertaining. It is completely buoyant and enjoyable to listen to. I do not know if it is very Christmas-like though. I did not get the feeling of the season when I listened, but I can imagine some piper piping this piece pleasantly as they go skipping down a snow-locked lane. It was very evocative in that regard. I did not quite understand why half way through you dropped the piece a half note and then played it again, but it sounded nice still.
