Concerto is a great idea, I forgot to mention. Now I'd probably have to make it a bassoon concerto

4 months is better, I think, but I might have gone as low as 3 months if it were up to me. What do you guys think?

Yeah, that's another thing I wanted to mention. I don't think people are likely to work for 5 months on something without any hope of a prize...perhaps something can be arranged this time?

Good idea. Maybe a closer deadline, but an actual prize.
I'm ok with 3-5 months; seems reasonable.

Having your piece played should be the prize.

You arranging that then?

It would probably be tricky to find a suitable ensemble willing to perform the winning piece. That said, if anyone has any connections that might allow them to arrange this, do speak up. It would make a fantastic prize.

Or as in *the* DMSO?

...You know what?

On behalf of the DMSO, and considering that I'm the one that actually produces the its final recordings, I am hereby offering a recording of the winning piece by the much-acclaimed DMSO. Those of you who have heard my recordings know that I am at least fairly good at producing them, and considering the fact that I am getting a new sound library within the next 2 weeks, the recordings can only get better.

What do you think, reasonable prize?
