Thumbs down

I would like to create my own website with information on myself as well as samples of my compositions. I have seen many websites like this that young composers do and they are very good. I would like to create a site like this, but I need to know the website hosting company.

I use angelfire.com for my website, but it can get really annoying with all the pop-ups and banners. Plus, they don't have a lot of storage room for compositions and recordings. I'm looking for something either free or a very small price. Preferable a place with large storage and little or not ads.

Thanks! Any suggestions are appreciate! An example of your website would be great for me to look at, too!

Young Composers is hosted on liquid web because of its reputation. Previously I was using asmallorange.com which may be suitable for you if your site is smaller, not to mention it also is pretty reliable.

Check this out: asmallorange.com/services/hosting/

You may want the "tiny" package, for only $30/year you get a decent deal.
For $5/month you get a much better deal. The problem is, asmallorage becomes too expensive with bigger packages, but to just start out, this is probably the best solution for you personally.

You can also check out webhostingtalk.com to find a hosting company suitable for you. This is how I was referred to liquid web, and I am happy. There is no better way to choose a hosting company than a good word of mouth.
