Arrow Composition (Pdf/Mp3)

Hey everyone.

This is my first post =D. I wrote this composition two days ago and I'd appreciate any comments and/or suggestions. I'm not familiar with forms and that stuff so if there are any mistakes (which I'm sure there are many of) I'd be grateful if you'd help me.

Also, in defence of the mp3, my piano needs maintenance and I don't have the best recording equipment so its naturaly bad quality, but you can still hear the piano quite clearly.

Oh my gosh! I totally agree with rau...this piece is amazing I love its simplicity. In fact, the recording gives it that extra cuteness it needs.

Now: Review: Just something I noticed: Bar 13 and 14 need some correcting. On your recording, you play the semibreves (1 2 3 4)...and then the minums (1 2 3 4). These minums, I believe, should be changed to semibreves...and the following notes moved into the next bar to continue as written. The remainder SOUNDS correct; by this I mean that the stresses on the beats appear as if they have started on beat one.
That makes no sense. Uhmm, how do I explain it.
Oh ill create an example for you.

Ok...so its attached, and just see if you can understand what I mean.

Other than that, its a Gem. Well Done, and I welcome you with a hug.
Nick

Dude - this is one fun piece. It reminded me of honky-tonk pianos in saloons and stuff. Would love to hear this played in a bar with lots of whiskey and poker.

Thanks Rau, Nick and Christopher. The link wasn't working that day and I'm not sure why. Thank you for the Review Nick. I'll change it sometime, but it's a bit tedious since I'm using Notion Demo and can't save my work :/. Theres quite a lot of bars where I live, but sadly they're not really interested in this kind of music.

This composition is actually an improv that I fixed up a bit =D. Is that cheating? hehe

Gosh I hate demos Ah well, they are good if you are prepared to sit there in front of the computer for 10 hours, write your piece...print it off...and then loose the computer copy.

Haha, no, it is not cheating...to write out an improv and fix it up.

My Impromptu in C major (somewhere on this site) is an improv...i just havent written it yet haha. And the Marzurka in G minor (which, isnt really a marzurka) is also improv.

So...go for it. It just means that your pieces probably won't be structurally admirable...but...if they sound good...who cares.

Ah yes.. that is the most frustrating part! Do you maybe know of any cheap notation programs out there?

Oki cool. I'll go look it up sometime . Yea, who cares, as long as it sounds right. hehe. I mean thats why we listen to music, so we can hear nice sounds. =D

aww, I liked this song . I felt like it could be background music for Yoshi's Island, or super mario, or something...lol, and that isn't a bad thing.
