Convert to music

Could someone please tell me which notes these are and what kind of notes they are (quarter, half, whole, eighth)? Thanks.

Because I have too much time on my hands, and I'm feeling helpful...

Really? It took me about 3 tries to work out that the tonic was A (or thereabouts) and from there it took more time to notate than to work out the notes and note values. It then took very little time to screengrab and then upload to imageshack.

In total maybe 3-4 minutes or so.

Methinks you need to work on your aural skills

I frown on doing what looks like someone else's homework.

Especially since they should

You're welcome - really, it was nothing. I'm just glad I could be of assistance.

beat three of the second measure sounds more like two sixteenth notes (or sixteenth eight) than two eight notes.

I was just curious about this, as I am not into music at all. I am nearly musically illiterate so it would be foolish of me to take a music class with such an assignment. Thanks!

Like I said, it looks like someone's homework.

I'm glad it isn't, but nevertheless, I think Mark should have been more careful and not have simply given the answer. Perhaps it's the educator inside me speaking.
