Depressing Funeral Music

Here's something I just wrote for my music theory class. It uses SATB, strings, timp, and bass. It's really gloomy and repetitive; everyone else in my class thinks I'm depressed now. Any comments?

Finale score and midi:

That is very depressing. I think that if you developed it some more, and held off on the loud dynamics untill the end, it would be a lit more powerfull.

Cool piece. I'm sure the midi does not do it justice.

No tenor could hit those notes. Remember the tenor staff is transposed an octave down - as in space 3 is middle C.

I didn't know tenors have their music transposed...shows how much I have to learn. This was my first try at more than two voices.
