Ember Sky Overture

So, I'm working on a sound track for a game that is being made by a person on this forum I go to. I've started it, using a them I got from their already made title music that I didn't make, and then I added some themes used for some characters in the game. Its for the opening cut scene. I want some opinions on it so far. As you can see in the mus. file, I'm not done placing in parts and such. It's about half-way to my planned length.

I've noticed that if you are opening this mus with a later version of finale (I have 2003) and its the one with Human playback, you have to go to one of the menus and check it. =p

EDIT: Updated the files, as I finished up all the instruments to where I'm at.

I think the pedal point in the beginning is actually detracting from your sound - I'd suggest have the theme you wrote in the beginning with varying bass notes, THEN use the pedal point to build to a climax. As it is now, the piece seems very unstable harmonically, which is normally an indicator of a climactic moment soon, but then you just go right into the lighter instrumentation section. It just doesn't flow as well as it could, I think.

So, here is the finale version. It adds an organ as the new main instrument and some piano. (Due to game creator's request).

So, here is the final version of Ember Sky Overture. (Figured I post it here... since I asked for some opinion)

Also, with the part in the beginning that was said to be taken out, its there as a foreshadowing effect on what is to come in the piece.
