Fantasy/New Age composers sought

Fantasy/New Age composers: Looking for a different sort of outlet for your work? Legends of Mernac, an open-source, fantasy-based art and literature site, needs new compositions to accompany its stories and digital images. Composers retain full rights to their work, and once the site goes subscription (slated for the Spring of 2008) there are expected to be monetary benefits as well. Please check out Legends of Mernac Legends of Mernac - Mernac. Al inquiries should be directed to:

Can we get a more complete description of what kind of music you're looking for? I understand the Fantasy/New Age stylistic ideal, but is that the ONLY genre you're looking for? And how long should the pieces be? Should they be suited for placement as static background music or should they be fully-developed and dynamic pieces (which would distract from the content they accompany)? Also, when you say "accompany", what exactly do you mean? Will there be a page with a poem, for example, that has the piece playing in the background? Who picks which piece goes with each poem (or story or image or whatever)?

On the topic of possible monetary benefits, I understood that the site will become subscription-based. Does that mean that the composer will get a percentage of total site profits, or a pre-determined set fee per piece, or royalties based on total page views?

Also, wouldn't it make more sense to have the author of the original work contact a composer on their own if they want musical accompaniment to their creation?
