A few pieces...

Hey everyone, it's been quite a while since I've posted any work on here. I've been meaning to post some stuff for a while but I've never gotten around to it until now.

Here's just a few pieces that I have completed semi-recently. The rondo was written last summer so it's not recent at all, and the duetto movement was finished a couple of weeks ago. I know the rondo really isnt a true rondo because the second theme isnt repeated at the end, but watever lol. It was performed last year and I wrote it the night before rehearsals started cause I had a blank the time when I was supposed to write it haha. That's why it's so short. I really like the rondo just cause its really short and sweet. I hope you like it!

The duetto is a bit more serious, but I know you guys might get kinda annoyed with it cause the same figure is always present and repeated lol. I'm proud of the duet though because I think the development is rather good compared to other developments i've written. I kinda wrote it for me and one of my friends at school to play, but we never really got around to it cause we were preparing the 'Sunrise' Quartet. Oh well, we'll do it next year.

The Rondo is in G Major and the duetto is in C Major.
K, enough of me talking lol.

Enjoy!

hi there!

those are very nice pieces! the rondo is quite funny, and the theme would be cool for some variations...

the duetto is good too, i'd have liked more music played by the viola, since it seems just to accompain the violin and have here and there some "breath" too. but it is not a bad piece, nice themes

Scores?

Hah. Rondo - is everything a rondo should be. I enjoyed it.
Duetto - I like it again. No complaints. I think two violins sound fine.
You write well for duets. They are quite nice, both pieces
=] You should have gotten that rondo recorded and then posted a non-midi file as a treat.
I love it.
Cheers, Brian
