Spook:

If you wanted you could send your finished MIDI to me and I could transfer it onto Noteworthy for you, or at least try my best within time constraints. And then, I could submit it for you. Or I could make it sound like crap instead. Or I could end up doing 10-million things and not have time. BUT, it's worth a try, eh?

I haven't started mine yet.

Also, I laugh heartily at the people that dropped out because they couldn't write well for an instrument.

In an orchestra you don't really have to know an instrument to slide it into the piece somewhere. Use it for effect. I mean, everyone knows what a piano sounds like, right? Well, just stick a couple piano notes in somewhere incidentally. You don't have to make it a piano concerto. I've heard many pieces where some instruments only played a measure, or even just one note somewhere in the piece for effect.

"PS: I'm not leaving..."

That's great how you just randomly drop that in there, all subtle like.

Ooh, I'll have to disagree with you on that. The reason I dropped out was clearly stated in my earlier post. I've had experience with composing on all of the required instruments, except the timpani. But that didn't stop me.

Well, I'm happy to report that short of minor edits, my piece is FINISHED! Now, for some editing and rescoring; however, I WILL be finished. I WILL have something to turn in, and I'm very pleased with what I've got already!

Good luck, everyone. Five days left; I look forward to hearing what everyone has written!
